The history of the group starts back in 1992, when the first company was established - OVERSEAS GROUP IMPEX SRL. Overseas worked over the years with many international suppliers, trading on the Romanian market only high quality products and international brands like: Kraft Foods, CPC, Gillette, Entremont, Gallina Blanca.

Overseas was one of the first companies introducing the direct distribution system using its own team of professionally trained salespeople. The system evolved and improved over the years, Overseas becoming a true Sales Academy and a benchmark in terms of business efficiency.

In the coming years, the distribution network was constantly expanded, Overseas becoming one of the largest national distributors. Number of customers exceeds 15,000; national sales team counts more than 100 salespeople.

Focused on the customer satisfaction, our company was always concerned to offer its clients not only good products, but also valuable services. Willing to have full control over the production and delivery process, the company decided to make its first step towards the vertical integration and the first production facility was founded - OVERSEAS 2000 - manufacturing meat products.

The development process continued with a major acquisition, in 1996, when one of the largest milling and bread-baking companies in Romania was bought - MORARIT PANIFICATIE BANEASA S.A. BUCURESTI.

In 1998 the group took over LUJERUL SA - the sister-company of BANEASA SA.

Over the years Overseas carried out many investment projects, focused mainly on modern production facilities. Distribution network continued to expand nationally by developing and strengthening strategic partnerships with all the international retailers present on the Romanian market and with authorized distributors from all over the country.

Today, Overseas is widely recognized as one of the major suppliers of private label and branded food products and we are privileged to count in our customers’ portfolio many of the country’s leading wholesale and retail operations.
